Christmas Concert Repertoire

As pieces arrive and are beginning to go through the copy process, I'd like to take this moment to share them with you all.

First is Alfred Reed's arrangement of Greensleeves.  Though this piece lacks the technical demands that some of our previous material had, it will challenge our musicianship thoroughly.

Second is On a Hymning of Philip Bliss by David R. Holsinger.  On hearing that the piece I originally ordered for us (Adventum) is backordered until after Christmas and hearing that none of our members had played this work, I used this opportunity to expose us to a critical piece of wind literature.

And lastly, we'll be taking another opportunity to visit a suite of works in The Polar Express.  This piece will take us from various levels of differing types difficulties and through some really fun sections.  I look forward to our group being extremely challenged by this work.
