To all who visit this site daily to those who visit it next to never: it's important to note some changes going on in what it means to be in the Scott Band. No matter its separate ensembles (marching, concert, pep, jazz, etc), the band has grown and risen in terms of meeting expectations and answering that which is asked of them.
That said, expect to hear of new changes as we now attempt to challenge each and every member by raising the bar for expectations within this band. Does that mean they'll be practicing every night for an obscene amount of time? No...we're not talking about raising demand, but expectations of their character.
We are looking to improve each and every person who walks in the double doors of the Scott Music Hall by teaching integrity, perseverance, and leadership while using the vehicle of performance to do so.
It's time to not just expect, but to #expectmore.
